Hello week 4! Would you like to see what we accomplished this week of the Spring 2019 ORC?
Well, to be honest I wish more happened. Our drywall finisher was sick and that put us behind. Big news…. he finished today!! It is amazing how mud can transform a space. It feels like we are so close!
We were able to get things done even though the drywall wasn’t happening. As you can see in the picture above, we built the base of the island. We are planning on waterfall sides of black concrete and a 16 inch overhang past the depth of the standard cabinets. I am very excited to see this come together!!
I received my vintage rug. It is much more monotone than I expected, but it has such deep moody vibe with the slate. I think it will look great in the space.
I was also able to play around with stains for our French doors. Im not sold on any of these just yet. But if all else fails, there’s always black paint ð
This weekend is going to be a lot of sanding, painting, trim work and installing cabinets. The fun part!
Here we are my friends, at the finish line of the 2018 Fall ORC. Last April I took on my Coastal inspired dining room and was thrilled with the result. If you have been following along in my saga for this round of the challenge you know that there have been some significant ups and downs. Pretty much every person in our house has come down with a cold or flu over the past six weeks which has seriously hindered productivity. If you are interested in catching up on my previous posts I’ll link them below:
